Cellulite: What You Should Know

When addressing cellulite, you must first understand that there are numerous factors that can cause or exacerbate cellulite. Lack of oxygen, poor circulation, hormonal imbalances, and water retention are a few examples. Some believe it is caused by the menstrual cycle or poor lymphatic drainage.

Toxicity in the body is another significant factor that can be caused by the environment (externally) or the foods we consume (internally).

Regardless of the cause, essential oils and a deep massage of problem areas can work wonders to remove cellulite deposits.



What are our options?

There are six things you can do right now to combat cellulite.

  1. Rubbing the affected parts of the body will help to vascularize these areas and improve overall circulation. Brush the areas in an upward motion with a brush made of natural bristles.
  1. Exercise with a focus on cellulite-prone areas. As a consequence, those areas will move and the toxins will be eliminated.
  1. Massage your entire body every day, not just the cellulite-prone areas. Cellulite is a problem that affects the entire body. Thus, by massaging the entire body, you are benefiting the entire system.
  1. By adding essential oils to the bath, they are absorbed into the body through a process known as osmosis. Make sure the bath is warm enough, then vigorously rub, pinch, and massage cellulite while submerged in water.
  1. As previously stated, a lack of oxygen can be an important factor in the formation of cellulite. Take a deep breath or perform any breathing exercise that works your heart and lungs. This improves circulation and, as a result, the body’s oxygenation.
  1. Stress is the glue that holds cellulite together. As a result, it is critical to take a break and unwind. Only by getting enough rest and sleep can the body change to eliminate toxins.




Recipes for fighting cellulite

Toxins can be eliminated by taking a bath with essential oils.

Mix the following essential oils together to make a batch that should be enough for 5 bath sessions:

  • 8 drops of basil essential oil
  • 6 drops of oregano essential oil
  • 6 drops of juniper essential oil
  • 10 drops of grapefruit essential oil
  • 10 drops of lemon essential oil

Place the stopper in the bath and fill it with 1/2 cup Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) and 1/4 cup rock salt. Allow the water to run before shaking it to dissolve the salts. The water should be as hot as you are comfortable with. Add 8 drops from the batch you made in the recipe above just before entering the water and mix them in. Come in for at least 20 minutes of relaxation.

Cellulite massage on specific areas

The four recipes below are for working on cellulite areas while taking a bath. Do not use the same mixture on consecutive nights. Variety is the spice of life, and in essential oil treatments, it means better results.

1. Recipe for cellulite control

This recipe will make enough for four baths. Combine the following essential oils:

In a bath, add 6 drops of this recipe. Remember to work those specific areas while submerged.

2. Recipe for fighting cellulite

This recipe will make enough for four baths. Combine the following essential oils:

  • 16 drops of sage essential oil
  • 8 drops of patchouli essential oil

In a bath, add 6 drops of this recipe. Remember to massage and pinch the specific areas while submerged.

3. Recipe for fighting cellulite

This recipe will make enough for four baths. Combine the following essential oils:

  • 12 drops of rosemary essential oil
  • 12 drops of juniper essential oil

In a bath, add 6 drops of this recipe. Remember to rub those cellulite areas vigorously while submerged.

4. Recipe for cellulite control

This recipe will make enough for four baths. Combine the following essential oils:

  • 12 drops of oregano essential oil
  • 12 drops of lemon essential oil

In a bath, add 6 drops of this recipe. Remember to work those cellulite-prone areas while submerged.



Massage oil recipes for cellulite

Massaging the entire body, but concentrating on cellulite-prone areas, will aid in the removal of toxins and fats.

For the following recipes, it is critical to mix the essential oils just before the massage.
30 ml pure almond carrier oil serves as the foundation. Mix in 5 drops jojoba oil and 5 drops carrot seed oil. Place the bottle cap on top and mix them together several times, rotating the bottle between your hands and turning it upside down. After that, add the essential oils from any of the following recipes.

Massage mixture for cellulite

  • 14 drops of juniper essential oil
  • 6 drops of oregano essential oil
  • 10 drops of lemon essential oil

Massage mixture for cellulite

  • 12 drops of grapefruit essential oil
  • 10 drops of lemon essential oil
  • 8 drops of fennel essential oil
