Description

Oregano is well-known for its culinary applications, but it also produces one of the most powerful essential oils.

Oregano essential oil contains a high concentration of carvacol and thymol, both of which have cleansing properties. As a result, it is one of the best household cleansing agents known to the essential oil world.

Oregano oil is also rich in antioxidants and can be taken internally to support a healthy immune system, digestion, and respiratory function. It can also be used to prepare and consume culinary dishes.

Because of the main constituents of oregano essential oil, use caution when diffusing or inhaling – only one to two drops are required. Oregano essential oil should always be diluted before applying topically.

Properties

Antibacterial, Antifungal, Antiparasitic, Antiseptic, Antiviral and Immunostimulant

Uses & Benefits

Natural Antibiotic

    • Antibiotics, as we all know, kill bacteria in the body. The disadvantage is that they kill both bad and good bacteria (probiotics). Antibiotics have recently been overprescribed, which causes a problem for future cures because bacteria no longer react to them.
    • Oregano essential oil is very effective at combating many harmful bacteria and fungi without causing any side effects. Many studies show that oregano oil can also help cure health problems that are usually treated with antibiotics.
    • Dilute it, and then rub it into the bottoms of your feet. Take 1-2 drops internally for 10 days.
    • Natural Candida treatment – Take internally for 10 days (2-4 drops, twice a day)
    • For pneumonia and bronchitis, as well as other respiratory infections, take internally for 10 days (diluted with carrier oil) (2-4 drops, twice a day)
    • Take internally for 10 days for urinary infections (E.coli) (2-4 drops, twice a day)
    • Take twice daily for Staphylococcus infection (including Staphylococcus aureus).

Helps Reduce the Side Effects Caused by Medications and Drugs

    • Oregano essential oil has been shown in studies to reduce the side effects of chronic disease medications (particularly methotrexate) such as chemotherapy or arthritis medications. It also reduces the side effects of iron therapy for anemia.

Effective in the treatment of Athlete’s Foot

    • Oregano oil contains potent antifungal properties. Many essential oils were tested for Athlete Foot, and oregano was the most effective, followed by thyme, cinnamon bark, lemongrass, and clove.

Aid for digestive ailments

    • Help digestion by relaxing GI tract muscles and balancing the ratio of good-to-bad bacteria in the gut.
    • Assist in relaxing the soft tissue of the throat and stomach, which can reduce GERD, heartburn, and discomfort after eating.

Support in the Treatment of Parasites and Intestinal Worms

    • Effective in treating intestinal parasites such as Blastocystis hominis, which causes symptoms such as nausea, gas, bloating, and abdominal pain. – Take for 10 days internally (2-4 drops, twice a day)

Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties

    • Oregano is a potent antioxidant in all of its forms, including fresh, dried, and of course essential oil.
    • Carvacrol, one of the compounds found in oregano oil, has been linked to cancer-fighting properties in a few studies. In test-tube studies, carvacrol showed promising results against colon, prostate, lung, liver, and breast cancer cells.
    • Prevents cellular damage, which is the root cause of many diseases such as arthritis, atherosclerosis, macular degeneration, wrinkles, muscle degeneration, nervous system disorders, and premature aging.
    • Oregano has 42 times the antioxidant level of apples and 4 times that of blueberries per gram.
    • Together with its anti-inflammatory properties, oregano oil has demonstrated its efficacy in health issues such as colitis and rheumatism.

Regulates menstruation

    • Acts as an emmenagogue and relieves menstrual and PMS symptoms such as cramps, headaches, nausea, dizziness, and flatulence.
    • It may also delay menopause and alleviate symptoms like mood swings and hormonal imbalance.

May Help Improve Cholesterol Levels

    • In a three-month study of 48 patients, oregano taken daily improved their cholesterol levels (increased HDL and decreased LDL).

The ideal weight-loss supplement

    • Some studies found that carvacrol reversed the process that led to the formation of fat cells.

May help relieve pain

    • Comparative essential oil studies revealed that oregano essential oil is highly effective pain reliever due to carvacrol. Apply diluted on the affected area or take internally.

Help remove warts

    • Apply directly to the skin after diluting with another essential oil or a carrier oil. ONLY apply to warts. Burns may occur.

House Cleaner

    • Very effective at removing mold from the home. In a 500 ml spray bottle, combine 10 drops of Oregano essential oil, 5 drops of Tea Tree, and 5 drops of Lavender.

Repellent for insects

    • To repel lice, bed bugs, mosquitoes, and fleas, make a spray with a few drops of oregano essential oil.
