If you use any cough or flu medicine with sleepy effects, you’d better avoid lavender oil. Before anesthesia, it is also better to avoid it a week or two before.
- Pregnant Women – Use lavender with caution in your third trimester because it can have a relaxing effect on muscles and can also affect hormone levels.
- Children – Lavender oil is considered generally safe for children to use, although there is some concern that lavender’s effect on hormone levels could be harmful for boys who have not yet gone through puberty.
- Internal use of Lavender Oil – It may cause gastrointestinal irritation, and it is better to avoid using internally if you have a sensitive digestive system.
